career & technical education business program
Did you know that employers indicated in a survey conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) that they are most interested in hiring college graduates with majors in business, engineering, or computer science? The specific targeted areas include management, finance, and computer science; as well as mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering.1 It also happens to be that these same fields have the highest-paid salaries to students graduating college!
If you are interested in pursuing one of these hot, high-paying jobs or want to set yourself apart when applying to college, you2 should consider enrolling in the New York State Career and Technical Education endorsed business program here at Homer High School.
After meeting all requirements of the program, you will receive a New York State Education Department endorsement (seal) on your Advanced Regents or Regents Diploma. You will be set apart from many other students as you will have achieved recognition in a challenging program that meets both academic and industry standards. The industry assessments are nationally recognized; therefore, wherever you go in the USA, colleges, and industries are familiar with the assessments and rigorous studies associated with passing the exam. If you have any questions or are interested in enrolling in this program, see the Business Teacher: Mrs. Hurley, or your Guidance Counselor for more information.
